A probe must be conducted to identify why the funds allocated to tehsils and local districts have not been utilised
QUETTA: Almost a new precedent has been set that a provincial government has not been able to utilise the funds that have been allocated to it, as commonly provincial and local governments complain and blame the higher governmental authorities for not releasing sufficient funds to carry out development projects. According to a report, the KhyberPakhtunkhwa government and the districts governments in the province have only utilised 40 per cent of the funds allotted to them.
A probe must be conducted as to why the funds allocated to tehsils and districts have not been utilised. Given the need for educational reform and upgrading of the transport system in parts of the province, the underutilisation of the funds shows inefficiency and mismanagement on the part of the provincial government.
