The Sindh government should provide adequate security to the holy places of minorities
TURBAT: Last year, the Sindh government announced Rs400 million to improve security at minorities’ places of worship in the province by approving additional security personnel and installing surveillance cameras at nearly 1,200 places of worship which though approved by the government have still not been appointed and installed. After each terrorist incident, the politicians wake up from their deep slumber only to fall asleep again. In 2014, when a mob set a temple in Larkana on fire, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari ordered strict security arrangements for all the temples, but even after three years of the incident nothing has been done so far.
The Sindh government should provide adequate security to the holy places of minorities so that people can perform the rituals without any fear. The government should take more active steps to eradicate the menace of terrorism from our country.
