Compensation for drone attack victims

Letter December 20, 2017
It is important that the Pakistani government asks the US to compensate for the losses of its citizen

ISLAMABAD: The Senate of Pakistan during its recent session on Monday, Dec 18th asked the government to approach and seek compensation from the US government for drone attack victims and affectees. The demand is fully justified considering that the US already pays billions in the name of the Coalition Support Fund (CSF) as reimbursement of expenses incurred in facilitating the coalition forces, in order to keep its military objectives and interests secured and operational in the region. Hence, it is important that the Pakistani government asks the US to compensate for the losses of its citizens who have already paid and continue to pay the price for not just the drone attacks but terrorist attacks too.
