Unified strategy needed

Letter December 20, 2017
It is time for the Muslim world to look for and develop cohesion among themselves

BANNU, K-P: The US has officially recognised Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. The decision has received a fiery response from the world in general and Muslim states in particular. The US and Israel have strong defence and military ties and trade relationship worth over $40 billion.

International politics is all about national interests. Morality has no place in international politics. The US is capitalising on divisive politics in the Islamic world. It knows the weaknesses of the Muslim world that lies in never being able to become one unified alliance against the aggressors. The role of the UN is utterly useless and of least help when it comes to confronting the US over matters of global concern.

It is time for the Muslim world to look for and develop cohesion among themselves, show unity and prove to the US that anything against the collective interests of the Muslim world will not be tolerated.
