LAHORE: This is with reference of Dr Fareed Malik’s response to my column of April 22 titled “Imranomics”. I must first of all say that I was overwhelmed by the large number of comments, from the cynical to the supportive, but mainly from his fans. Some commentators even suggested that I become part of the PTI’s economic team. I could only have based my analysis on what is available in the public domain. It is encouraging to know that there is a team and a think tank within the PTI headed by an eminent economist. I look forward to seeing the economic recovery plan being prepared. For future reference, there is no harm if the name of the eminent economist heading the team is disclosed beforehand.
