LAHORE: All it took was little rain in Lahore to give a lie to the claims of successive ministers for power and the PML-N of adding thousands of megawatts to the national grid and ending the power crisis, as over 125 feeders of the Lahore Electricity Supply Company tripped due to the rain, plunging the city in darkness and causing inconvenience to the people.
As the power crisis is now no longer an issue for the summer season only, the problem exposes all the tall claims of the federal and provincial governments about eliminating the menace of power shortage. The situation on the ground shows that they have done nothing over the years.
