PPP itself is all set to conduct a meeting of on the road adjacent to the one where the Faizabad sit-in was held
ISLAMABAD: Recently, at a meeting of a Senate’s standing committee, PPP senator Sherry Rehman and others lashed out at the PTI for the monetary loss suffered by the government due to the long sit-in of the political party back in 2014 because of police deployment and other measures taken for the sit-in. Similarly, many along with the PPP raised hue and cry over the loss of millions the government and the businesses suffered due to the Faizabad protest recently.
The PPP, now itself, is all set to conduct a meeting of its party workers and office-bearers on the road adjacent to the one where the Faizabad sit-in took place. Hence, the road has been closed for security purpose from the afternoon of Dec 5th till the conclusion of the meeting. Even if the expenses of the meeting are being paid for by the party, it is no less of a hassle for the passersby and the residents of the area as about 500 traffic police personnel will be deployed to divert traffic to other routes.
