Meanwhile, Director General of Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Muzaffar Ali Ranjha transferred the staff of the ACE technical branch, Gujranwala region, after the recovery of 221 lost files of high-profile corruption cases from the cupboards of the branch. A senior ACE official said the files had been sent to the ACE technical branch for comprehensive inquiries. However, the staff deputed there reported that the files of 221 high-profile cases had been lost.  “These files could not be found for several years and no progress could be made on them,” the official added.

Recently, the ACE DG sent special teams to Gujranwala regional offices which conducted a detailed audit and recovered the 221 lost files from the old cupboards of the technical branch.
