Thank you, Pakistan

Letter April 26, 2011
There was only one ticket clerk at the Wagah railway station and this number should be increased.

NEW DELHI: I was in Pakistan recently, from April 11 to 20, to visit the holy shrines for Sikhs. I wish to thank the Pakistan government, the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, the paramilitary forces who guarded us and the volunteers who were with us during our stay.

The people of Pakistan showered us with so much love and affection that I don’t know where to begin to thank them. People may say that Pakistan and Hindustan are different countries, but I say that both of them are the two eyes of one mother.

Overall, the arrangements were excellent, but I have one suggestion: There was only one ticket clerk at the Wagah railway station and this number should be increased.
