KARACHI: It is disappointing that the only suspect the police managed to get hold of in the ‘knife attack’ cases in Karachi has been released due to lack of evidence and the cases, categorised as ‘A-class’, have been closed. While the suspect has been released for not being guilty, the closure of the cases is equivalent to giving a clean chit to the actual culprit and simultaneously, setting the police free from carrying out further search and investigation for the case. As similar incidents have been reported in other parts of the country too, it is important that investigations must not be closed.
