Assets and MPs

Letter April 25, 2011
Don’t our members of parliament exhibit the moral courage to declare the correct worth of their assets?

LAHORE: This is with reference to a report in your newspaper recently on assets declared by politicians, including the prime minister and several federal ministers. The report said that the prime minister doesn’t own a car and owns one house. Similarly, the assets owned by the leader of the opposition and of the senior leadership of the PML-N seem to suggest that all of these parties are run by very poor individuals.

Don’t our members of parliament exhibit the moral courage to declare the correct worth of their assets in the name of their wives, sons, daughters and other close relatives?
