KARACHI: In a recent crackdown, the district health department in Hyderabad sealed 14 pharmacies in the city for being against the law and rules practices, including poor storage facilities and pharmacies being run by unqualified personnel. Health departments from other districts too should order a check for the numerous pharmacies in cities and all such stores who sell medicine and pharmaceutical supplies without obtaining the licence from the relevant department. As previously many incidents of medical stores selling expired or wrong medication to patients have been reported, of which many have led to the loss of precious lives.
