Having chosen a hostile and aggressive tone and approach towards the courts, Maryam Nawaz did not hold back
ISLAMABAD: With her guns pointed at the judiciary once again, Maryam Nawaz raised a hue and cry over the ‘injustice’ and ‘unfair’ treatment of her father following the hearings of the accountability cases he has been charged for. Having chosen a hostile and aggressive tone and approach towards the courts, Maryam Nawaz did not hold back, even this time around. Her comments certainly superseded her previous statements and expression of angst. Taking Imran Khan’s name on how he was suggested by a judge to file a petition against Nawaz Sharif, Maryam ignored the fact that the same opposition could file a petition for contempt of court against her, which as a matter of fact, would never be a favourable thing to happen in the current circumstances. Regardless of the already existing disagreement and rift among the old party leadership, Maryam still appears to walk along the same lines of direct confrontation with the judiciary.
