Province [Sindh] where PPP will soon complete its decade-long rule is in a shambles
KARACHI: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is one of the biggest political parties of the country, which has formed the federal government more than thrice. However, in the recent by-elections in NA-120 constituency in Lahore and NA-4 constituency in Punjab, the PPP polled the lowest number of votes where even regional political groups or smaller parties had more votes than it. Unfortunately the province where the party will soon complete its decade-long rule is in a shambles. The Sindh chief minister recently commented on the rally PTI held in his constituency of Sehwan Sharif and ended up taking a swipe at his political opponent, but he ignored the defeat the party is most likely to see in the upcoming general elections. It would not be wrong to say that the PPP and its political influence has become restricted to Sindh, whereas in the past few years the PTI has spread its political sway outside K-P.
