It is not only the duty of the PPP but of all Pakistanis to try and uncover the truth in this regard.
BERLIN: This is with reference to Sami Shah’s column of April 21 titled “Cry till you laugh”. I think the hanging of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was a judicial murder and it is not only the duty of the PPP but of all Pakistanis to try and uncover the truth in this regard.
When the writer says: “The recent petition to the Supreme Court to reopen the Zulfikar Ali Bhutto murder case is such a blatant attempt at misdirection that it resembles a fumbling magician trying to pull a parrot out of his hat while forgetting about the tail feathers sticking out of his sleeve”, he is being mean. Whatever the reason for this decision, the people have a right to see how the new independent judiciary revises its decision of yesteryears.
The government is making a lot of mistakes, but this petition is not one of them, whatever the motives behind this action might be. The writer should concentrate his ire on other subjects.
