Tackling Myanmar

Letter September 10, 2017
Foreign minister and the premier of Pakistan should come forward and give a shut-up call to Myanmar

SHAHDARA: Today an open letter has been written by PTI chairman Imran Khan to United Nations Secretary General Mr António Guterres, expressing his serious concern over the genocide of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar. On humanitarian grounds, it is a good step but being a separate and sovereign state there should be a different approach to tackle this barbarism. I think the foreign minister and the premier of Pakistan should come forward and give a shut-up call to Myanmar through the forum of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation on the one hand, and on the other they should write a reminder of revival of prime objectives of the United Nations.
