Some people believe Gulalai's allegations are only to throw mud on the 'popular captain'
NAWABSHAH: Ayesha Gulalai, a former lawmaker of the PTI who is currently a pawn staging the character assassination of Imran Khan, seems to be the one with blurred lines in her apparently enraged mind. Talking of her allegations persuades one to look for proofs she might possess of what happened back in 2013. However, regardless of the credibility of her claims, the matter has emerged as a glitch to the party’s otherwise liberal women empowering image.
Gulalai’s allegations came closely on the heels of the ouster of the former PM. She considered it the ‘appropriate’ time to bring forth her allegations against Imran Khan. What’s more, the determined member once affirmed of her demand for the party ticket to the media, only to deny it hours later. These allegations might be equally void and baseless. But they will set the directions for the upcoming elections.
Further, an absence of reaction by the ruling party of the country when compared to the prompt expression of sympathy by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari leads to the possibility that the lady might head towards the PPP — the party she once parted ways with but now speaks highly of, with exaggerated positive remarks about the party and its leadership. The whole scenario has, however, raised a question in the minds of the voters: which political party has attempted such a big but politically feeble tactic to defame the popular captain’s leadership, only to add to his struggle?
