KARACHI: Two policemen were shot dead in May in the vicinity of Bahadurabad. I reside in the same area and have witnessed many a time mobile phone snatching, dacoity and other similar incidents. My relatives and friends too have been victims to such situations and have lost their valuables several times.
Many letters, blogs in newspapers and posts on the Facebook group, Halaat Updates have been published regarding such incidents in the area. Unfortunately, following the rise in such incidents the police seem to have completely disappeared from the area.
Considering the gravity of the situation, I request the authorities concerned to look into the matter and assure placement of police mobiles in areas prone to crime.
