The article is almost like an eye-opener for many of the self-proclaimed intelligentsia of Pakistan
KARACHI: One recalls Feisal Naqvi’s article titled ‘Kabhi apni shakal dekhi hai?’ published in The Express Tribune on July 12, 2011. It is truly commendable that Mr Naqvi has blatantly called out to Pakistan’s so-called intelligentsia for failing to comprehend the conditions prevailing in their own country.
No one could have worded it better than Naqvi when he underscores the hatred for India that Pakistanis are indoctrinated with since birth. “We have built an entire country on our hatred for you. We have dedicated ourselves to enshrining our differences, first the differences with you and now the differences amongst ourselves.”
The article is almost like an eye-opener for many of the self-proclaimed intelligentsia of Pakistan. Perhaps, they will be able to do some introspection. Maybe they will stand still and look at their faces in the mirror and seek answers to questions we have not been allowed to ask.
