Economically distressed Pakistan

Letter July 13, 2017
The policymakers in Islamabad need to devise a plan to counter this problem

LAHORE: This is in response to Kamal Siddiqi’s article ‘Drowning in people’ published on July 10th. Mr Siddiqi has raised some very interesting points relating to the diaspora of Pakistan’s population. It’s truly very disappointing to realise that the current census is taking place after over three decades and the accuracy of which will still be questionable after the results. This will leave the country economically distressed as the resources are limited.

The policymakers in Islamabad need to devise a plan to counter this problem before things get much out of control.
