Politicisation of the police prevents the National Accountability Bureau from functioning within the province
JAFFARABAD: Shifting of power of transferring and posting a senior police official from the IG Sindh to Home Minister Anwar Siyal simply depicts rigid aristocratic politics that is entirely at odds with traditional Pakistan Peoples Party political rhetoric. This is something that will directly undermine the efficiency and credibility of the police as an institution. This act of the Sindh government is to make itself immune from any sort of person in the present and future that will not serve its interest.
Politicisation of the police prevents the National Accountability Bureau from functioning within the province. The medieval practices of the Sindh government within the province will be something that is contradictory to modern political doctrines. Decisions always have consequences — this is a simple short-term act with long-term costs.
