Its services frequently remain out of order and complaints remain unattended for extended periods of time
ISLAMABAD: The PTCL is known for providing substandard service all over the country. Its services frequently remain out of order and complaints remain unattended for extended periods of time, despite calling their help lines. However, at the end of the month bills for the period including the time when there was no service available are sent to customers for payment within a specified date, failing of which incurs penalty after due date.
Such a one-sided approach is inconsistent with the principle of justice. I appeal to the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority to take notice of the matter and announce a policy that will prohibit any telecom service from charging customers for the period of which service is not provided or remains disrupted.
