The injustice of SPSC

Letter May 05, 2017
The candidates should not be blamed for the faults of the Sindh government

KARACHI: The Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC) invited applications for certain posts through the combined competitive exam in the year 2013. After much hiccups, the written exams were held in April 2015, followed by the interviews and final result in the year 2016 that declared 227 candidates successful. The complete process, which was spread over two to three years, was declared null and void by the Supreme Court due to ineligibility of the chairman of SPSC.

It shall be noted that before the intervention of the court, the candidates successfully completed all the due process after receiving the appointment letters, ie, police verification and medical clearance. They also left their previous jobs and many were unable to join any other service they cleared before receiving the offer letters.

I am one of the affected candidates of the decision and appeal to the Chief Justice of Pakistan and judges look into the matter. The candidates should not be blamed for the faults of the Sindh government.
