ISLAMABAD: It is the first time in the history of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) that an anti-encroachment campaign has actually been successful. Visit business centres of G-9, G-10, G-11, F-10 and Aabpara to see for yourself.
It actually happened because of a Director (Enforcement) in CDA, who is not only incorruptible but also a brave and honest person. Before coming to the encroachments, he cleansed his own directorate first by suspending officers who were working hand in glove with the encroachment mafia. Thereafter, he not only removed most of the encroachers but also made sure that they won’t come back and his successful campaign continues.
I salute this brave director who did not succumb to the pressures and threats by the mafias. I also give credit to the CDA chairman and the member administration to have appointed such a person to this sensitive position. The civil society must also come out in aid of this officer as the corrupt mafia is already out there to malign him. I wish we could have similar brave officers in other departments as well. I am going to visit CDA this week to present him a bouquet of flowers as a mark of respect.
