The path to revolution

Letter March 28, 2011
There is very little innocence still left in this country because our society treats the innocent.

KARACHI: This is with reference to Feisal H Naqvi’s article of March 25 titled “The mummy-daddy, burger-baby revolutionaries”. There is very little innocence still left in this country in that fewer and fewer people are left on the road less travelled. And this is because of how our society treats the innocent — it mocks them, ridicules them, uses them, discriminates them and exploits them in every possible way, and this discourages them and makes them wish that they had never taken any initiative to do anything different.

If there are a few innocents wanting to walk down the road less travelled, they should be encouraged and provided with correct guidance. This grooming away from the road less travelled and towards the crooked one begins long before we reach adulthood.
