Food for thought

I eat often at The Patio and find the food consistently delicious and innovative.

KARACHI: This is with reference to Batool Zehra’s article titled “Mix it up” in The Express Tribune Magazine of March 19. I couldn’t disagree more with the writer. Reading the review, it seems that the writer ate at a different restaurant and not The Patio. I eat often at The Patio and find the food consistently delicious and innovative, the atmosphere homely, and the service just right — personal and attentive without being overly solicitous.

The writer’s parting shot, “Remember that The Patio is no alternative to Flo”, only goes to undermine the essence of her skills of criticism. Comparing Flo to The Patio is like comparing chalk and cheese. The former is high-end dining while the latter is in a totally different price category with a gastronomy that’s quite unique and should be celebrated rather than scorned.
