There must be a proper check, primarily at intersections to make sure traffic police are doing their jobs faithfully
BAHAWALPUR: Traffic congestion is becoming a major issue in Pakistan. There are no traffic signals in many cities and even traffic police is unable to control the mess of vehicles coming from every direction.
Traffic at intersections is painstakingly horrible, especially if there is neither traffic police nor signals. Proper measures should be taken in this regard. Roads should be broadened. Traffic signals should be present in every city. There must be a proper check on traffic police, primarily at intersections to make sure they are doing their jobs faithfully and are present at all times. Above all, awareness should be made among people about walking and using alternative methods of transport and using vehicles only when needed.
