Letter February 11, 2017
A good majority of the people have placed their faith in the measures and performance of the federal government

CHINIOT: According to a survey by the International Republican Institute and the Institute for Public Opinion Research, an unexpected and unbelievable reality came to light that 67 per cent of people appreciate the performance of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and 79 per cent people feel most secure in the province of Punjab. The 63 per cent popularity of PM Nawaz Sharif makes him Pakistan’s most popular leader. A good majority of the people of Pakistan have placed their faith in the measures and performance of the federal government. The popularity of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz shows that it can and may come into power again. This means Imran Khan needs to make extraordinary efforts to shake the roots of his counterpart, Nawaz Sharif.
