I came across a majority of Pakistani boys and girls who had the full intention to return home.
RAWALPINDI: This is with reference to Seema Raza Bokhari’s article of March 9 titled “You aren’t the only one, George”. I disagree with the writer’s broad generalisation that most Pakistanis pursue an interest in acquiring foreign nationalities and would like a safe exit out of Pakistan. During the pursuit of my postgraduate degree at the London School of Economics, I came across a majority of Pakistani boys and girls who had the full intention to return home and contribute as productive citizens. Also, there is a group of individuals whom the writer did not mention. These are the young and very energetic graduates of top universities in the US and the UK who have recently returned to Pakistan to make a difference. What we need is to create opportunities so that their energies, ideas and talents can be harnessed for the public good.
