Christians in our midst

Letter March 07, 2011
We have been damned by our own ignorance and arrogance.

DUBAI: This is with reference to Amber Darr’s article of March 7 titled “The Christians in our midst”. The writer is absolutely right in saying that the Hindu, Christian and Parsi communities have contributed significantly to our society and that we have failed to appreciate them or to protect them and give them equal rights. The mere fact that we are Muslims gives many of us reason to walk around with a chip on our shoulder. There is a certain arrogance in our attitudes, we think we are more worthy because of our religion. Sadly, we have been damned by our own ignorance and arrogance.
