Why not elect politicians who can serve voters without hiding in bulletproof vehicles?
RAWALPINDI: The worthy prime minister is known for generously allocating public money to rich ministers and members of Parliament. Now, he has authorised bulletproof vehicles to two ministers. Gradually, all ministers will be under threat and will qualify for bulletproof vehicles. Then, why should the Senate chairman, speaker of the National Assembly and the chairmen of Parliamentary committees be without such vehicles?
What if they come out of bulletproof vehicles as public leaders? Can such scared leaders lead the nation? Can a bankrupt nation afford such expensive leaders while the nation faces terrorists and die numbering in the thousands? Finally, why not elect politicians who can serve voters without hiding in bulletproof vehicles?
