ISLAMABAD: I deeply appreciate Najmuddin Shaikh’s article of March 1 titled “Lessons and costs of the Libyan uprising”, but regret to say that we, the hapless citizens, will continue to suffer in silence and our country will remain the same with our billionaire leaders who evade taxes and pay only Rs5,000 as annual income tax.
Even if the revolution of the Arab world hits us faster than we may want, these billionaire tax evaders, holding foreign passports, could easily run away with their kith and kin to enjoy the luxury of their hidden wealth abroad.
