Remembering Neutra’s Embassy

Letter March 03, 2011
The Institute of Architects Pakistan is meeting to discuss ways to lobby for adaptive reuse of this timeless building.

KARACHI: This is with reference to Arif Belgaumi’s article of February 28 titled “Remembering Neutra’s Embassy”. I remember that the writer always felt that this building should stay and that if the US government agrees, it should be converted into a library or an art gallery. What he is advocating should be heeded. The Karachi chapter of the Institute of Architects Pakistan is meeting to discuss ways and means to lobby for adaptive reuse of this beautiful and timeless building.
