Petrol strike or blackmail?(II)

Letter February 28, 2011
The government did nothing about it and let millions of motorists be fleeced in a brazen manner.

KARACHI: It found it irresponsible on the part of some television channels who, on the evening of February 27, reported that the government was planning to raise petrol prices by 10 per cent from March 1. As a result, petrol pump owners went on a so-called strike, though it was clear that they were doing this to make a profit on their existing petrol stock. And the government did nothing about it and let millions of motorists be fleeced in a brazen manner.
