Our politicians may be maturing in age, but that this is not reflected in their actions and decisions.
LAHORE: This is with reference to Amina Jilani’s article titled “No perceptive change”, published in your issue of February 26. I totally agree with her and am rather shocked to read that anyone in their right frame of mind, within and outside Pakistan, would perceive Pakistan to be growing into a mature and stable state. I appreciate the author’s sense of humour when she writes that our politicians may be maturing in age, but that this is not reflected in their actions and decisions. As a society, we tend to talk a lot of rights but hardly do we ever mention anything about our civic responsibilities.
