The Pakistan government must ensure that the murder case against Mr Davis goes through.
KARACHI: With reference to your several editorials on the Raymond Davis affair, may I point out that your arguments fail to take note of the very real sentiments of the majority of Pakistanis, all of whom want the government to ensure that Mr Davis pays for what is clearly a crime. Yes, we are a country that is not exactly known for respecting even our own Constitution but two wrongs do not make a right. At the very least, the Pakistan government must ensure that the murder case against Mr Davis goes through and the American government, for its part, must respect this process. This is the only way that the rampant anti-American sentiment found in the country will ebb, because if Mr Davis gets a free pass and is sent back to America then one can only imagine what is going to happen.
