I appeal to the worthy PM to kindly reconsider the increase in pay of ministers and MPs
RAWALPINDI: Worthy Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is very generous in distributing public money. Fabulous pay increases for well-off ministers and selected members of parliament(MPs) are going to hurt his popularity and even endanger democracy. This additional financial burden on the poorest of the poor, who pay multiple indirect taxes, will tarnish the image of the democratic system as if of parasitic nature according to the poor. A common man has yet to feel benefit of the democratic system for the enormous cost paid by him. In brief, this financial burden on the poor will go against the existing political system and the government.
I appeal to the worthy PM to kindly reconsider the increase in pay of ministers and MPs, who receive pay and perks the whole year but may or may not attend any proceedings or speak a word for the welfare of their voters.
