The Kashmiri people have the right to self-determination
PAKPATTAN: Unfortunately, seven soldiers have become martyrs due to the recent violations by India at the Line of Control (LOC). India is responding to Pakistan’s agitation in the United Nations (UN). Amnesty International along with the international community have expressed concerns over the barbarities of India in occupied Kashmir.
India always adopts a robust stance against Pakistan while Islamabad always seeks goodwill gestures with its neighbour. The tension at LOC could entangle the entire South Asian region in serious trouble. Being a nuclear nation, New Delhi should revisit its foreign policy regarding Islamabad. In addition, the UN should implement its resolutions in Kashmir and a plebiscite should be conducted. The Kashmiri people have the right to self-determination and Pakistan should continue its struggle in this regard.
