It has been three months since the announcement of the dividend
LAHORE: Pakistan State Oil (PSO) Company Limited announced its dividend on August 15 for the financial year ending on June 30. It has been three months since the announcement of the dividend but shareholders of the company have not received the dividend. This has been an unbelievable delay. It is surprising to note that in today’s world of technological advancement, our country’s biggest company takes more than three months after a declaration to pay a dividend to its shareholders. This system surely needs improvement and I would like to request Mr Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the honourable Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources, who also is the chairman of PSO’s board of directors, to look into this matter and help the shareholders, especially the small and retired ones, receive timely payment of their dividends.
