Damaged Road

Letter October 24, 2016
I urge the relevant authorities to order immediate repair of the road

BADIN: About 18 kilometres of the main road connecting two coastal belt cities, Seerani and Badin, have been in a state of ruin for many years and every government has turned a blind eye to this.

Mainly the road is being used by poor fishermen and farmers to earn their livelihood by transporting fish and other harvests to the main markets located in other parts of the country, but the pathetic condition of the road is making this task difficult.

A number of students also use the road to reach Badin and other parts of the province for educational needs. Many serious accidents have occurred on the this road over the years. People have submitted hundreds of applications to the district as well as provincial authorities but things have remained unmoved.

I urge the relevant authorities to order immediate repair of the road.
