America’s insensitivity (II)

Letter February 18, 2011
The driver of this second car do not come under any immunity clause of any international convention.

ISLAMABAD: The Lahore High Court has finally directed that the police arrest the driver of the other car which ran over and killed a Pakistani man following the shooting involving Raymond Davis and two men. My point is that even if we were to set aside the issue of Mr Davis, surely the actions of the driver of this second car do not come under any immunity clause of any international convention. So why doesn’t America hand over this person to the police? As long as it refuses to do so, the widening chorus of shrill anti-American voices will get only louder.
