We must look for long-term solutions to battle climate change and slow down such natural calamities
MUMBAI: It has been reported that Haiti, a Caribbean country, has been hit severely by Hurricane Matthew, which has caused great damage in terms of death and destruction. The fact is that countries the world over often find it difficult to face the natural disasters caused by the changing world atmosphere. Hence, the sooner countries become serious about this fact, the better it would be for all.
Some time ago, a school of whales had been stranded and eventually died on Tiruchendur Beach in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, India. Various reasons like climate change were quoted as the reason for this unfortunate incident. It is becoming more and more important to safeguard the natural habitats and environments for all living species and at all costs. Right now, countries should come forward to help out the affected in Haiti on a war footing. Then, we must look for long-term solutions to battle climate change and slow down such natural calamities.
