LAHORE: I find the comments sections of your website to be very instructive of the mindset of readers of English newspapers in Pakistan. Often I surf your website, focusing more on the comments than the news itself because the debates and discussions that take place are usually interesting in themselves.
One common theme, if I may point it out, that runs through several comments sections is a clear division between the ‘right’ and the ‘left’ on many issues that come up. I would say that sometimes, after reading these, one gets the impression that many of your readers, especially those who profess to hold liberal values, do not seem to have a clear picture of what the majority of Pakistanis think, or even how they live.
