Our government needs to spend less of the budget on defence and invest more in education
TURBAT: Pakistani students need to learn hands-on, vocational skills if they are to find balanced success in life. Our government puts less emphasis on extracurricular activities and more emphasis on studies, whereas in foreign countries, public schoolss train students in all aspects, such as technical skills. They can read textbooks but they are also good at other things and prepared to take on various kinds of jobs at any time.
Our government needs to spend less of the budget on defence and invest more in education. Our public school curriculae need to be revised to included hands-on technical training as well as extracurricular activities. This will come handy for students who need to find small, part-time work while studying. Furthermore, not all students have the aptitude for study but they should still be equipped with some skills so as to be able to earn a living for themselves.
