Pakistan should look towards other countries, such as Iran, China, and the huge African market
ISLAMABAD: I am a little surprised by the letter by P Senthil S Durai from Mumbai entitled, “Call for sanity” (September 30). According to his mention of a previous job he had, he was collecting exportable material from seven different locations in Tamil Nadu and shipping it to Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Singapore. I must remind everyone that none of those countries was against India at the time nor causing destabalisation within it, even if indirectly.
If Pakistan had a bolder prime minister, the trade borders with Afghanistan and India should perhaps be sealed until things settled down, despite having millions of Afghan refugees living and born in Pakistan. Pakistan should look towards other countries, such as Iran, China, and the huge African market.
