I urge the government of Sindh to rebuild the battered road at the earliest
HYDERABAD: A few days ago, I visited Sanghar for a few hours on an urgent basis. The road from Mirpurkhas to Sanghar made me realise how far we are from progress. The appalling condition of the road shows that it was made ages ago. Nevertheless, many notables from different fields live there but no one has ever thought about rebuilding or maintaining it.
Mirpurkhas is 70 kilometres from Sanghar but it takes more than two and a half hours to travel the distance. Private transport and ordinary people are forced to use this road because public transport vehicles charge exorbitant fares while travelling on the other road. Due to the awful condition of the road, many accidents take place. As a matter of fact, many transporters claimed that they do not run many vehicles on this road due to the bad condition of this road. I have also come to know from a few sources that this road has been reconstructed numerous times on paper only. I urge the government of Sindh to rebuild the battered road at the earliest.
