The condition of the buses is poor as most of the good 2D buses have been transferred to other routes
KARACHI: I would like to draw the attention of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah towards the hardship of the general people due to a shortage of public transport buses. I am an old man living in the Soldier Bazaar Area of Karachi. For decades, there has been only one bus route that goes to MA Jinnah Road. Since launching the Orange Line Bus project, the fleet of 2D buses has been reduced to 15 and we have to wait 45 minutes to get a bus. The condition of the buses is poor as most of the good 2D buses have been transferred to other routes. Students, women and elderly are facing great hardship as there is no alternative like the qingqi rickshaw running on the main road of Soldier Bazaar. I have sent emails to the relevant ministries and to the chief minister’s office but they are only returned to me. Please issue permits for new routes from Soldier Bazaar to Tower.
