This implies that the real conflict is not between Syrian factions
TORONTO, CANADA: While it is a relief to know that an overdue deal has been reached to stop the Syrian civil war and while it is a commendable act to put an end to the suffering of the Syrian people, I was equally alarmed about this news. This implies that the real conflict is not between Syrian factions. It is between the two elephants in the room.
If they had the means to stop the war, why have they abandoned the Syrian people all these years? Is it because they don’t give a damn about the Syrians? Or, is it because their ultimate concern was to sell weapons to both factions, or all of the above?
