Our society is in a serious conflict with the powers of darkness due to an imp-like political breed
ISLAMABAD: I often seen and hear many of my political science students talking about a few fiery politicians who usually are accorded undue importance by our television channels. I wonder about the damage they are doing to the minds of my students when they listen to their press conferences or talk shows. They pass most of their time in rebuking or flagging a dead horse.
Indeed, our politicians afflict us because their greatest weapons are their fiery darts — their packs of lies and heaps of allegations against one another. Our society is in a serious conflict with the powers of darkness due to an imp-like political breed, especially those who are the half-empty glass sort of guys in the political arena.
Like many others, being a humble student of political science and law myself, I strongly believe that pretty much everything bad and chaotic in our resource-rich society is caused by such a breed of politicians. They are always angry, devoid of reason and rationality and found in self-pity and mental sickness. Had they behaved, spoken and acted nicely in their public life, they would have brought a culture of decency and civility to the masses.
