A journey that used to take a half-an-hour now takes twice as long
LAHORE: With several major roads dug up and most traffic signals out of order, the traffic mess in Lahore is worse than usual nowadays.
A journey that used to take a half-an-hour now takes twice as long. Traffic wardens, on the rare occasions that they are seen, seem largely uninterested in controlling the traffic. No surprise, then, to see vehicles running red lights and plying on the wrong side of the road with wanton disregard. Could I request the chief of traffic police to establish the writ of law and address this misery of the common man?
